I have found that many practitioners with a strong online presence don’t seem to use business cards or physical ephemera to promote themselves. I was wondering if you indeed use physical promotional material, or if you find that purely online promotion is sufficient?

I have business cards but I never use them.. And I have done postcard mailouts before but they cost money. Social media is free, and gets out to a lot more people. The only difference is, it’s not targeted.. So when you find a small list of potential clients you really want to work for, a nicely put together physical package is the thing to do..
As for business cards, I don’t think they’re altogether necessary anymore, but better to have a couple handy than not
